Peter’s Last Days Warning Part I

Near the end of the apostle Peter’s life, he had a stark warning for the church. Nearly all of Peter’s second epistle is dedicated to communicating this warning. He states the issue most fully for the first time as follows: “For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty” (2 Peter 1:16). If we could see Peter in heaven right now, I think he would say: “Have you forgotten my warning?
