‘Rapid Growth’ During Creation Week as a Solution to the Starlight and Time Problem

Did Adam and Eve have a belly button? You may have heard this issue being caricaturized as a typical issue that churches have fought over. As silly as that would be, I believe that a tremendous amount of insight can be gained from pondering this question and others that are related to it. Doing so may just help resolve some of the outstanding problems us creationists have not yet solved. A Billion Years in a Genesis Day? The Sorrow People Don’t Know They’re Asking For

Is it possible that the six days of Genesis 1 in fact refer to something other than a simple ‘day’? Might the true sense of the text all along have carried with it a possible allegorical or, at least, undefined sense to it? In other words, might we replace ‘days’ in Exodus 20:11 with ‘eons’ as follows: “For in six ‘eons’ (?) Yahweh made the heavens and the earth and the sea, and everything in them…”? Continue reading “A Billion Years in a Genesis Day? The Sorrow People Don’t Know They’re Asking For”

Peter’s Last Days Warning Part I

Near the end of the apostle Peter’s life, he had a stark warning for the church. Nearly all of Peter’s second epistle is dedicated to communicating this warning. He states the issue most fully for the first time as follows: “For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty” (2 Peter 1:16). If we could see Peter in heaven right now, I think he would say: “Have you forgotten my warning? Are you keeping in mind what I told you to keep in mind?” Peter basically says just that: “And I will make every effort to see that after my departure you will always be able to remember these things.” (2 Peter 1:15, and see 2 Peter 3:1-2) Continue reading “Peter’s Last Days Warning Part I”

‘Remember Your Creator’ – The Salvation of the World Depends on It

As you do not know the way the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a woman with child, so you do not know the work of God who makes everything. (Ecclesiastes 11:5)

Not only does our current society in America and the West deny that “God makes everything:” worse, they don’t even acknowledge that God made anything. While there are plenty of frontal attacks that establish this atheistic stance (a HS football coach getting fired for praying on the field, a decorated soldier being demoted and severely threatened because she had a simple bible verse on her desk (?!)), it is just as often furthered by a ground swell which one can sense and feel that instills a kind of fear that says: ‘I’d better stay away from mentioning God here in this part of the report with my child … it’s sort of not allowed, I think, isn’t it?’ Continue reading “‘Remember Your Creator’ – The Salvation of the World Depends on It”

God’s Answer to the World’s Mockery: ‘Behold, He Comes!’

Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts, and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming?” (2 Peter 3:3)

I have some good news to share with you: God has an answer to the mocking of man.

Have you ever seen so much mocking and ridicule? It is so bad now that after a terrorist attack, the ‘progressive’ side of society ridicules even the statement: “We’ll be praying for you.” Often just the hint that God may have spoken or impressed something on you is met with ridicule. Continue reading “God’s Answer to the World’s Mockery: ‘Behold, He Comes!’”

Earth’s Rapidly Decaying Magnetic Field Says the Earth is Young

One of the most powerful evidences for a young earth is its rapidly decaying magnetic field. Measurements taken from 1835 to 1965 reveal that the earth lost a whopping 8% in its magnetic field strength over those 130 years.1) More recent measurements confirm this exponential rate of decrease, at a rate of about 1.5% every 30 years.2) That means if you are 60 years old, in your own lifetime, the earth’s magnetic field decreased in strength by about 3%. Let us be glad the earth is not decreasing in size at such a rate! That is an astounding rate of loss for a planet-wide feature, which the old-earth paradigm requires to be billions of years old. Continue reading “Earth’s Rapidly Decaying Magnetic Field Says the Earth is Young”

  1. [1] “Following Gauss, scientists continued to make global measurements of the field. Four decades ago, Keith McDonald and Robert Gunst (1967, 1968) compiled the results of such measurements from 1835 to 1965. They drew a startling conclusion: during those 130 years, the earth’s magnetic dipole moment had steadily decreased by over 8 percent!” (Humphreys, “Earth’s Magnetic Field,” (CRSQ 47, 2011), 194

  2. [2] “Over those thirty years [1970 to 2000], about half of the energy that was lost from the dipole was transferred into multipole fields (up to ten pairs of magnetic poles of decreasing energy that point in different directions). However, the bottom line is that the overall energy of the entire field, which includes the energy of the dipole and all multi-pole fields, decreased by at least 1.25%, and perhaps as much as 1.57% (Humphreys, 2002)… If this rate of loss holds steady, then the field will lose half of all its energy in approximately 1500 years.” – (EMM, 17-18

Welcome to the Human Genome: The Most Advanced Computer Operating System in the Universe

How many of you are Mac fans out there? Windows fans? Any die-hard Linux hold outs? Well, before you start fighting with each other, let’s just clear the table: none of these operating systems can hold a candle to the human genome. I have so little space, so most of what follows will be key citations that illustrate this marvel.[link1] Hold on to your seats, ladies and gentlemen: Continue reading “Welcome to the Human Genome: The Most Advanced Computer Operating System in the Universe”

Dinosaur Train … Wreck! How Real Dinosaur Finds Testify of a Watery Mega-Catastrophe

Recently I was doing a little research on Dinosaurs, so naturally at one point I did what we all do: I typed in “dinosaur” into a Google search. One thing that peaked my interest is that by the time I typed “d-i-n-o-s…”, Google was already suggesting a term as it’s number one suggestion: Dinosaur Train. Dinosaur Train is a children’s cartoon depicting, but of course, the supposed ‘world of dinosaurs.’ It offers a steady diet of indoctrination into the supposed Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous “eras.” The evolutionary sequences and timelines are simply presumed. If you climb aboard this “Dinosaur Train,” you’ll visit different dinosaur periods, what life was like for them, what environments they thrived in, and etc. But if you deboard from this Dinosaur Train, and actually take a look at the one and only source that could provide evidence for these evolutionary tales – the burial sites that contain dinosaur bones – we observe a radically different narrative. These burial sites speak loud and clear of a Dinosaur Train Wreck! (keep reading below…) Continue reading “Dinosaur Train … Wreck! How Real Dinosaur Finds Testify of a Watery Mega-Catastrophe”

Erosion — The Ultimate Fact Check on a ‘Billions of Years Old’ Earth

We hear it and read it daily: This or that formation is said to have formed 332 million years ago, or 3 billion years ago, or “just” 33 million years ago. Have you ever thought of “fact checking” those claims? I submit that erosion rates provide one of the ultimate fact checks in this regard. Amazingly, this exercise takes no more than some simple arithmetic to demonstrate the impossibility that the earth is multi millions (let alone billions) of years old.

Everybody agrees that the earth is constantly eroding away. Day in and day out, rain and water run-off (the main culprits) constantly wear down the surface of the earth. It’s not just the earth that water erodes: the worst culprit for destroying houses and properties in general is water run-off. A house with a bad roof or with dysfunctional gutters is in a serious danger zone of ‘going to pot,’ but that property is just as at threat if it does not properly drain the surface run-off waters (i.e. keep it out of the field, and out of the basement). Obviously, most of us have only concerned ourselves with our own little properties, not with the earth in general, but the fact is, it’s the same exact processes of erosion that constantly wear down the surface of the earth, and which transport that flux of material, of sediments, and of dirt to the sea and into drainage basins. With this context set, let’s now do some fact checking.

According to one source, the average erosion rate of all of the continents of the world is about .061 millimeters per year.1  Continue reading “Erosion — The Ultimate Fact Check on a ‘Billions of Years Old’ Earth”
